Tao Heung

When I want my dim sum fix but have no time or patience to queue at Tim Ho Wan, I turn to Tao Heung. It's got a great location - in Grand Tower which is next to Mong Kok MTR station and opposite Langham Place Mall. The entrance is not on the side of the mall though, it's facing Nathan Road.

While I still prefer the food at Tim Ho Wan, the dim sum at Tao Heung is really pretty decent, and also value for money.

Most importantly, it's a huge restaurant with many, many tables. Definitely no three-hour waits!

If you're a fan of Casio watches, after your meal, you may like to pop by the dealer's shop in the same building. Go in by this entrance and take the lift to the 20th storey.

Some models are more heavily discounted than others, so check out the prices in your local shops first if you can. My Baby Gs were about 20% off retail, but my friend got her G-Shocks (not pictured here) a lot cheaper.
